Q: I have a 3 bedroom apartment, please give me a quote?
It is difficult to provide a quote without knowing the volume of moves and services required. Therefore, an onsite survey is normally required before we can provide a quote.
Q: Are there services that would involve additional costs?
Other than the cost of the move, additional costs generally fall into these categories:
- Third-party services: e.g. handyman, disposal of unwanted items, piano handling, safes, insurance, etc.
- Difficult access: stairs and/or long carry, shuttle, hoisting, split pick-up and/or deliveries, work on public holidays and Sundays.
- Storage: e.g. storage itself, warehouse handling (in & out), sorting, access to storage items, etc.
Q: Is insurance included in the quoted rates?
No. Insurance is a separate cost to the move. The reason is insurance varies on the value of the goods to be insured.
Q: Is there any surcharge for changing dates?
There may be a surcharge if the change of dates is last minute, or if the revised date is a weekend or public holiday.
Q: Will my shipment be subjected to taxes and duties?
Most countries allow the duty-free entry of used household goods if you meet the required residential status and have the required documents. However, as different countries have different requirements, so there is no hard and fast rule. check with our move consultant for more details on your destination.
Q: When do I need to pay?
The full payment is required prior to the moving.
Q: What about tipping?
Tipping is not mandatory but tipping for good service is always appreciated.
